I am never satasfied with my work, but this time, I think I must just have it right.
My very first map looks half decent, but I learned a very hard lesson. And that is that players don't like big maps. I was repeatedly reminded on how big the field was and I decided to start over. Here is my very first map from scratch...
Mini CB Classic (Diamond)
This time, I decided to switch to the normal sized chunck of land that classic is aquanted with. However, it almost looked rediculous with all the water surrounding the main battlezone. The islands in back were too far back and this time, I realize that it wasn't just the size of the field, but the map itself.
Here is my first redue...Had to reposition all the triggers, but for most part, did not take as long as first one.
Mini CB Classic (Rectangle)
I started over(From Scratch, once again), I resized the map to small (4 players size) and I redid all the triggers up to 600 kill rewards. I decided not to go to 1000 this time because I rember hearing back from Aug and Fork that these added triggers wouldn't make this classic. I got alot of inspiration from the igz classic map release, but I'm proud to say that I have finally finished my first unbugged map(Hopefully and from scratch).
Here is the finished version and what the jist will look like.
Mini CB Classic (Saints)
Hopefully this will all work out. I can now safely feel that the size and feel of the map is spectacular. Beta testing is still open, but I am pretty sure that most of the problems have been rooted out.
The Heroes are the mates I usualy play most with
(Aug, fork, oscar, bobby, trample, bluff, and ect).
The monks will most likely be Non-Saints that I enjoy (Rock, Pico, Tokugawa, Pablo_eScobar, richard, WhiteSora, dragon, eagle, Nick, tokey, frost, Alexander, William, and other peeps that always make for a fun game).
Well Finally, my long awaited Classic Journey is finished and you can hope to see Saints Store Soon Enough. I hope to re-attempt a Diamond layout and if I'm succesfull, you can expect to see it soon.
