In response to something that occurred in a game, i will make this thread so everyone understands my actions. I have never cheated in any game, and I dont consider 'moral dillemas', a situation where i should adjust.
I was playing a 4v4 excalibur and the other team was getting owned. The count was 4 heroes to NONE early in the game. Orange, who had a base DIRECTLY across from me resigned. So now the situation is a 4v3, excalibur.
I marched about 80 huns into oranges' base, the only logical thing to do to, (1) completely eliminate him from the map, and (2) make sure the enemy wasnt hiding in there. There were SEVERAL aztecs and other untis still lying around. So i proceeded to kill them as i would the entire base.
I will not mention any names, but a few teamates of mine had a problem with what they called 'me feeding off the dead'.
FIRST of all, there is no booter in excalibur. When someone resigns, it is either up to YOU, their enemy, to eliminate ALL their units off the map, or that resigned person's allies to delete his units. That option is made available FOR allies so that they can do just that. That is their responsibility, to delete dead units, so no one 'feeds' off them.
SECONDLY, there is no telling what kind of units a team will hide in a dead base. It would be FOOLISH to leave it standing. You eliminate the possibilty of a hero with spies AMBUSHING another hero, a team launching an attack against you, maybe with a trebuchet or arthur later in the game, or a monkey or wolf. Their are a host of reasons why a smart player goes in there and erases any doubt.
THIRDLY, If it was King Conquest ffa, a neighbor who has resigned another neighbor, has put you at an already huge advantage. If you follow this code of 'no feeding of the dead', then you have to go all the way around that base to launch an attack, you are denied razings, and it is just plain dumb not to move them off the map.
That is the nature of the game. Anyone who says or cries 'dont feed off the dead', are the same ones who make up rules such as 'No hit and run on teuts', or 'No hit and run period'. Those are NOOB rules and ideals that if you are skilled, you wont be affected by hit and run, because you wont run teuts out to meet spanish. neither will a dead allies units affect your gameplay, becasue the first thing you will do is delete those units.
I find it ironic that the same person who had a problem with this, carried out a SUSTAINED and PLANNED double-team in a KC FFA. NAd NO DOUBLE TEAMING is a rule in KC. It is in the scouts and hints. Not only were he and his 'new found ally' double-teaming me, he was giving him directions on WHEN and HOW to attack, in SPANISH, so i would not know what was going on. All he had to do was ally chat him at that.
Think about the little things in games and how you plan to win. Dont bring noob ideals and handicaps that dont make any sense.
